You and your child(ren) have completed the first stage of enrollment at one of our School of Choice Magnet Schools.  We have received your child’s Magnet School Application.  Your student has been assigned a lottery number as federally required by the Magnet grant. If you need to complete an application for another student, just click here to complete another application.

Lottery & Placement
Magnet Programs will be conducting the first round Lottery March 26-30, 2018.  The lottery system allows for equitable opportunities to enroll in schools based on weighted variables including socioeconomic status, gender, ethnicity, and area of interest.  Applicants who have siblings currently enrolled in a Magnet are given priority.

Lottery selected applicants will be mailed a Placement confirmation letter during the week of April 9th, 2018.  The Placement notification letter will detail which school your child has been assigned to and will contain information on how to complete the enrollment process with the PACE office.  In the event your student was not placed at a Magnet school, they will be put on a waiting list.

The last stage, after the Placement notification, is to complete the enrollment process. 

If your student is already enrolled in Lansing School District, you will have the chance to simply confirm your placement and update any information, if needed. 
If your student is not currently enrolled in Lansing School District, only fully completed enrollment documentation will ensure placed students maintain their seat at a Magnet school.

The deadline for submitting all necessary confirmation and enrollment documentation is May 4, 2018, after which date your student’s seat at the selected Magnet school may be forfeited.
