The following timeline reflects the magnet schools application and notification process for the 2017-2018 school year:

January 28, 2017
Official availability date of the 2017-2018 online magnet school application via distribution of information at the 2017 District Showcase and posting to the district website: www.lansingschools.net. Applicants will locate the schools link and select “Magnet Schools,” and click “Apply Now” to begin the application process.


March 31, 2017
Last day to submit application and be eligible for submission to the First Round Lottery


April 10 – 30, 2017
First Round Lottery Processing


May 1 – 15, 2017
First Round Lottery Results with Letter Notification to Families


June 15 – July 31, 2017
