We are excited to again be able to offer FREE summer learning opportunities for our K-12 Lansing School District students! There are project based learning activities for our K-3 and 4-6 grade students with a focus on math, literacy, and pathway experiences. 7-8 grade students will have opportunities to develop interpersonal skills and explore pathway opportunities. 9-12 grade students will be able to earn credits for recovery or enrichment through our APEX program. Launch Day Camp

Fun, engaging day camp that will include team building activities, organizational skills, personal development and high school preparation, along with weekly
pathway-inspired field trips.

AIM High Mentoring

Students will be actively engaged in learning through inquiry-based projects in this invitation only program. Program includes high school and college mentors to support students in the development of social/emotional health and well-being.

Apex Credit Recovery & Enrichment

A web-based credit recovery or enrichment experience customized to each student’s unique learning needs. Students can sign up for as many session as they need.

AM Session: 9 - 11:30 a.m.

MSU College of Education Summer High School Scholars Program

(Current 9th-11th graders)

July 13 – August 2

This program is a residential experience on the campus of Michigan State University. Apply online at the MSU Summer Scholers Program. Deadline to apply is May 2nd.

Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Camp ... (6/17-6/20)

Who done it?  Campers will be tasked with learning CSI techniques and solving fictitious camp “crimes”.  There will be lots of hands-on science and role-playing activities this week.  Campers will also be participating in traditional summer camp activities (hiking, fishing, campfires, etc.) This camp will run from June 17 to June 20 and is available to currently enrolled Lansing School District students in Grades 4 to 6.  


Junior Counselor Orientation I ... (7/8-7/9)

This camp is designed specifically for our Movin' and Groovin' Camp Junior Counselors.  It is meant to provide them with an orientation to the camp and their role as Junior Counselors.  This camp will run from July 8 to July 9 and is available to currently enrolled Lansing School District students in Grades 9 to 12Note that Junior Couselors will have to commit to serving as a Junior Counselor from July 9 to July 18.      


Movin' and Groovin' Camp I ... (7/9-7/12)

This camp is all about living an active lifestyle and character-building through sports.  Campers will learn about and compete in various team sports and outdoor recreational activities.  This week it is not about winning, it is about learning!  Campers will also be participating in traditional summer camp activities (hiking, fishing, campfires, etc.).  This camp will run from July 9 to July 12 and is available to currently enrolled Lansing School District students in Grades 4 to 6.  


Adventurers Weekend ... (7/12-7/14)

This is a "bridge" camp over the weekend for campers that are enrolled in Movin' and Groovin'  I and Movin' and Groovin' II.  Campers will engage in a 24-hour outdoor challenge and day-trip adventures to various West Michigan summer attractions including Lake Michigan.  This camp will run from July 12 to July 14 and is available to currently enrolled Lansing School District students in Grades 4 to 6


Movin' and Groovin' Camp II ... (7/15-7/18)

Words, Woods, and Water Camp ... (7/28-8/1)

This camp is focused on furthering our campers' love of reading and writing.  Campers will be participating in traditional summer camp activities (hiking, fishing, campfires, etc.) all with a fun literary twist.  We are also inviting local authors and illustrators of childrens books to work with campers this week.  This camp will run from July 29 to August 1 and is available to currently enrolled Lansing School District students in Grades K to 3
