For many students, summer learning programs can be a transformative experience. These programs provides an opportunity for students to build independence, develop social skills, unplug, and create friendships that will last a lifetime; and this year, summer learning opportunities may be more important than ever.
The Lansing School District understands that summer programming can be an formative part of a young person's growth and development. As such we are thrilled to offer a variety of, no cost, exciting Summer SOAR opportunities for currently enrolled Lansing School District students. Grades K-6 Summer SOAR Program Offerings
Summer SOAR | Face-to-Face | Session A & B
Ready to return to school? This face-to-face Summer SOAR program is designed to provide students with additional academic enrichment opportunities in core content area and beyond. You can sign your child up for a single 4-week session or sign them up for both sessions. Session A runs from June 21 to July 15. Session B runs from July 19 to August 13. Please note that spaces in these programs are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Grades 6-8 Summer SOAR Program Offerings
AIM High | Face-to-Face | Session A or B
The AIM High program provides middle years students with the opportunity to work with high school and college mentors. This program is intentional designed to provide students with both the academic support and social/emotional skills needed to be successful in high school and beyond. You can sign your child up for a single 4-week session. Session A runs from June 21 to July 15. Session B runs from July 19 to August 13. Please note that spaces in these programs are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
