Lyons has a P.T.A. that is both active and generous with their time and talent.  All parents who have a child enrolled at the school are invited to become members of the P.T.A.  Some of the projects the P.T.A. funds every year are books and periodicals for the library,  educational materials for every classroom, RIF Books, Field Day, March Reading Month, Santa's Secret Shop, the February Dance, the School Carnival, and Field Day. If you would like to be part of the P.T.A., you are invited to attend a meeting or leave your name in the school office.  You do not have to be a member to come to the meetings or be involved in any PTA functions . . . you only have to be a member in order to vote.  Childcare is provided at all of the PTA meetings free of charge.  There are many activities in which you may participate - Fall Fundraiser, RIF distribution, Book Fair, Ice Cream Social, and the School Carnival.  Some volunteer jobs can be done right in your home.  PTA meetings are on the first Thursday of the month from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm in the school library.
