An administrator/parent/student conference must be held and may occur in combination with one or more of the following:
Referral to school-based Student Success Team
Weekly and/or monthly progress monitoring
Referral to Restorative Justice Practitioner
Saturday school: Detention programs on Saturday or other non-school hours
Referral to DPS office for processing intervention
Options as discussed among parents, teachers, and administrators i.e. community service, restitution, etc.
Use online intervention prevention courses
Referral to Community Mental Health-ACCESS for a substance abuse or mental health assessment.
Parent/guardian communication
Review Student Parent Handbook expectations: teach what you want to see
School service project
Write or record an apology and/or reflection to everyone impacted by actions
Behavior “bank” system (CRPBIS): Students earn tokens/points for
positive behavior
Assign to small group targeting specific behavior
Scheduled breaks or calm down passes
Adult/peer pairing check-in/check-out (10 days)
Reflection “Think Sheet” with restorative questions
2 x 10 Strategy: 2 minutes of focused and directed personal connection for 10 consecutive days
Silent lunch
Assign to in-school suspension for 0-5 days
Replacement behavior instruction (teach alternative positive actions)
Change of class assignment
Double dose interventions
Behavior contracts with clear expectations and rewards with
parent/guardian involvement
Referral for restorative justice processes with completed
contract with affiliated parties
