      All high schools have a half day for final exams. All other schools have a full day.

The Lansing Technical High School Offers High-Demand Pathways

EMS /Health Sciences

Students will learn how to become multi-skilled healthcare workers. They will develop knowledge of patient care techniques, vital signs, body mechanics, how to work with infants, the elderly, and much more.

Possible Careers: Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Firefighter, or Emergency Medical Technician

Construction Science

Students will learn to use a variety of tools and equipment to build and repair roads, homes, and other structures. Students will receive instruction in heavy equipment operation, roofing, welding, masonry, and more!

Possible Careers: Electrician, Plumber, Painter, or Ironworker

Computer Science and Coding

Students will learn how to use computers to solve real-world problems. They will receive instruction in coding, operating systems, programming languages, and software development.

Possible Careers: Digital Media Specialist, Web Designer, Video Game Developer, or Computer Programmer

Culinary Arts

Students will learn a variety of cooking methods and techniques from basic to advanced cooking skills. They will receive instruction in catering, nutrition, menus and facility planning, cold food preparation, and food service management.

Possible Careers: Chef, Restaurant Owner, Dietitian, or Caterer

What is Title IX?

Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any District program, service or activity including, but not limited to: educational programs or activities, e.g., extracurricular activities, student services, academic counseling, discipline, classroom assignment, grading, athletics, transportation, etc.

Unlawful Discriminatory Practices Under Title IX

Sexual Harassment (unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature)

Sexual Misconduct/Violence (rape, sexual assault, sexual battery, sexual exploitation and other forms of non-consensual sexual activity)

Stalking (repeatedly following, harassing, threatening or intimidating including by telephone, mail, electronic communication or social media)

Retaliation (adverse academic or other actions against anyone reporting or participating in an investigation of Title IX allegations)

Members of the school district community who believe that a Title IX violation may have occurred, should discuss their concerns and/or file a complaint with the District’s Title IX coordinator:
