Historic Trails and Tales   |   Ebersole Extended Day Camp   |   June 17 

Join us at the Ebersole Center as campers step back in time to explore Michigan's fascinating history! They'll immerse themselves in the past by playing old-fashioned games, crafting handmade treasures, and experiencing the thrilling (and sometimes tough!) challenges of life in the 1800s. This is a hands-on journey into history that promises fun, discovery, and unforgettable memories!

Dates/Times:  June 17.  This camp will run from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.

Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades K-2.  Space is limited to 58 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 58, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list. REGISTER HERE.  


  Rings, Reins, and Wonders  |  Ebersole Two-Night Camp  |  June 24-26

Join us for an enchanting summer experience where imagination takes flight!  Set in the heart of nature at Ebersole, this camp combines the thrill of circus arts, the wonder of magic, and the majesty of horses.  Campers will learn breathtaking circus skills, master magical tricks, and bond with horses through exciting outdoor adventures.  Whether juggling, casting spells, or brushing manes, every day will be filled with fun, creativity, and enchantment!

Dates/Times:  June 24-26.  This camp will run from 8:30 AM (Day 1) to 3:30 PM (Day 3).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.

  Let's Go on a Safari  |  Offsite Day Camp  |  July 29


Get ready for an expedition to Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park with the Ebersole Team!  This thrilling Safari day will take campers on a wild journey where they'll get up close and personal with amazing animals.  Experience a private animal encounter, hand-feed some of their favorite creatures, and hop aboard the Safari bus for an epic ride through the park, spotting exotic wildlife from all around the globe in their natural habitats! It’s a day packed with excitement, discovery, and making memories!

Dates/Times:  July 29.  This camp will run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.

  Bike and Birding Tour (Lansing)  |  Offsite Day Camp  |  July 28


The Lansing River Trail is one Lansing's most underappreciated amenities.  For this excursion, adventurers will be invited to join a bike parade.  The parade will start on Lansing's south side at the Equine Center for Learning and will traverse the better part of the North-South route of Lansing's River Trail.  Along the route students will learn to observe and identify some of Michigan's most common bird species.  Specific stops will be made at other notable Lansing attractions including Hawk Island, Potter Park Zoo, the capitol complex, etc.  Our bike tour will culminated in Old Town where students will have  the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing treat.           

Dates/Times:  July 28.  This camp will run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food is provided, but families will be responsible for drop-off and pick-up in Lansing.  Additional details to follow.      

Special Biking Note:  For the safety of themselves and others, all campers must be able to confidently ride a bike prior to the start of this camp.  All campers are required to have a working bike and bike helmet in order to participate.

  Nectar Quest: Nature's Delivery System  |  Offsite Day Camp  |  July 31


Get ready for a buzzing adventure!  Dive into the fascinating world of nature as we uncover the incredible relationship between insect pollinators and native wildflowers.  Embark on a guided tour through MSU's Beal Botanical Gardens, where you'll discover how plants and pollinators have evolved together over time. Whether your camper is an aspiring entomologist or just curious about the natural world, this camp will spark their imagination and connect them to the wonders of pollination.  The tour will be followed by a picnic lunch and crafting.  

Dates/Times:  July 31.  This camp will run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.

Are you ready for an unforgettable summer filled with adventure, fun, and the chance to make a positive impact on young lives? We are thrilled to invite you to apply for the position of Junior Counselor at our upcoming summer camps!

At Camp Ebersole, we believe that summer camp is a transformative experience for both campers and staff alike. As a Junior Counselor, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for campers, fostering personal growth, and building lasting friendships. Junior Counselors will (a) support Ebersole and visiting staff members as they facilitate sessions and activities at camp, and (b) participate in all camp activities while modeling our C-OAR Values (being grateful, gritty, curious, and kind) for the younger campers.   

Dates/Times:  June 11 (Mandatory Training Day) and Various Summer Dates according to posted camps.  Times vary based on each camp's schedule.  We are asking Junior Counselors to commit to attending at least three of the K-2, 3-5, and 6-8 camps listed above.  Costs: Junior Counselors attend camp for FREE. Food and transportation are provided.  

Registration:  This opportunity is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades 9-11.  Space is limited.  If enrollment exceeds capacity, prospective junior counselors will be placed on a waiting list.  REGISTER HERE (Selected Junior Counselors will be notified of assignments the last week of May).


  High School Band Camps   |   Multi-Night Camp  |  Various Dates


We are excited to announce that all three Lansing School District high schools are holding band camps this summer.  If you are interested in participating in the marching band please contact your school's band director to find out how to participate in these wonderful programs.   

Dates/Times:  Everett High School's Band Camp will run from July 20-25.  Eastern High School's Band Camp will run from July27-August 1.  Sexton's Band Camp will run from August 10-15.  Costs:  $25.00 (this includes all meals and transportation).  

Registration: Band camps are open to incoming 9th-12th grade students that are active in band.  See the high school band director for more information and the registration link.    


  South Manitou Backpacking Adventure  |  Four-Night Camps  |  August 4-8


South Manitou Island, located in the stunning Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, is known for its sandy beaches, towering dunes, and lush forests.  Our trip will include hiking scenic trails, camping under the stars, and exploring unique landmarks like the island’s historic lighthouse, shipwreck sites, and old-growth cedar forest.

This is more than just a hike—it's an adventure!  Together, we’ll learn wilderness survival skills, cook meals over a campfire, and soak up the beauty of Lake Michigan.  Plus, there will be plenty of time for fun games, beach exploration, and s'mores!

No experience? No problem! This trip is designed for all skill levels, and we'll teach you everything you need to know to have a safe and exciting time. All food and camping gear are provided. Campers will hike 2-4 miles per day and need to be comfortable with outdoor elements (rain, sand, wind, physical exertion). Prior camping experience is helpful but not required.

Dates/Times:  August 4-8.  This camp will run from 8:30 AM (Day 1) to 5:00 PM (Day 4).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  

Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades 9-11.  Space is limited to 15 campers.  If enrollment exceeds capacity, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.  REGISTER HERE.
