  Nature Guardians  |   Extended Day Trip   |  June 12

Empowering young people to become better stewards of the natural world has never been more important.  During this camp, young adventurers will collaborate to form teams of Nature Guardians as they learn how to protect the environment through the seven Leave No Trace (LNT) principles.  Guardians will team up to learn about and apply the seven LNT principles through various game-based activities.  Guardians will also learn basic wilderness survival skills and leave feeling empowered to be better stewards of the natural world. 

Dates/Times:  June 12.  This camp will run from 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM.  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades K-2.  Space is limited to 86 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 86, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.  


  Subterranean Sleuths: Secrets Beneath the Surface   |   One-Night Camp   |   June 19-20

Nestled in the heart of nature, this camp invites young explorers to embark on a journey of discovery, delving into the intricate ecosystems that thrive beneath our feet. Through hands-on activities, our Subterranean Sleuths will explore the rich biodiversity of soil microorganisms, wade into freshwater habitats teeming with aquatic life, and unravel the mysteries of fungi in the forest.  Sleuths will gain a profound understanding of the interconnected web of life hiding just beneath the surface.

Dates/Times:  June 19-20.  This camp will run from 7:30 AM (Day 1) to 5:00 PM (Day 2).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades K-2.  Space is limited to 70 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 70, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.  


  Artistic Avengers  |   Two-Night Camp   |   July 8-10 



Young creatives will be transformed into superheroes for the planet, using their creativity, individualism, and art for environmental activism. Through various creative activities, our Artistic Avengers will learn about the beauty of our planet and the importance of taking care of it through their imaginative artwork.  Consider joining us for a camp filled with stewardship, creativity, and self-expression. 

Dates/Times:  July 8-10.  This camp will run from 7:30 AM (Day 1) to 5:00 PM (Day 3).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades K-2.  Space is limited to 70 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 70, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.

  Art for Earth's Sake   |   Two-Night Camp   |   June 26-28


This camp is an immersive journey where young artists become stewards of the environment, using the power of their creativity to inspire change.  Guided by experienced mentors, these budding eco-artists will engage in hands-on projects, nature walks, and collaborative activities that not only nurture their artistic talents but also instill a sense of responsibility for the planet. "Art for Earth's Sake" is not just a camp; it's a transformative experience that empowers young hearts and minds to become advocates of the Earth through the beauty of art.  Consider joining us for a camp filled with creativity, camaraderie, and a deep connection to the world around us!  BONUS:  This camp will culminate in an art exhibit in Lansing.  Families will be invited to attend to view various student-produced artistic pieces.      

Dates/Times:  June 26-28.  This camp will run from 7:30 AM (Day 1) to 5:00 PM (Day 3).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades 3-5.  Space is limited to 40 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 40, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.   


  Lakeshore Trailblazers   |   Extended Day Trip   |   July 2


Trailblazers will be immersed in a unique summer experience designed for young explorers eager to embrace Leave No Trace (LNT) principles while discovering the beauty of nature.  This camp combines outdoor education with exciting recreational activities.  A highlight of this experience will be the exhilarating hiking excursion to the picturesque shores of Lake Michigan. As participants traverse scenic trails, they learn essential outdoor skills and gain a deep appreciation for preserving the wilderness. At Lake Michigan, Trailblazers can relax on sandy beaches, take in stunning views, and engage in water-based activities, fostering a connection with the environment.  Sign-up today for our Lakeshore Trailblazer camp for an unforgettable journey where every step leaves a positive mark on the trail and memories that will last a lifetime.

  Sandy Trails Shoreline Expedition   |   Three-Night   |   July 30 - August 1

Embark on a journey into the breathtaking Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area.  This unforgettable experience will introduce budding nature nerds to the world of backpacking and rustic camping.  This expedition invites campers to explore the pristine shores of Lake Michigan, where the rhythm of the waves harmonizes with the crunch of footsteps on endless sandy trails. Campers will learn foundational backpacking skills, from packing essentials, to water filtration, to  back country cooking, to setting up camp.  Surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Nordhouse Dunes, campers will forge lasting connections with fellow backpackers while discovering the art of harmonizing with the natural environment.  All essential camping gear will be provided.

Dates/Times:  July 29 - August 1.  This camp will run from 7:30 AM (Day 1) to 5:00 PM (Day 4).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades 6-8.  Space is limited to 12 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 12, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.  


  Rocks, Wrecks & Ripples Tour  |   Multi-Night   |   August 12-15

Join us for a rustic adventure like no other at the Rocks, Wrecks, and Ripples Tour, where campers will explore destinations in Michigan's Upper Peninsula including Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi, and more! This camp invites participants to explore the rugged charm of the region, from ancient rock formations to hidden shipwrecks and the mesmerizing ripples of secluded lakes. From moonlit tales around the campfire to days filled with exploration, the Rocks, Wrecks, and Ripples Tour promises an authentic and unforgettable experience that captures the untamed spirit of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Join us for an unforgettable "car camping" adventure.  All essential camping gear will be provided. 

Dates/Times:  August 12-15.  This camp will run from 7:30 AM (Day 1) to 5:00 PM (Day 4).  Costs:  This camp is FREE for currently enrolled Lansing School District students.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This camp is open to any currently enrolled Lansing School District student in grades 6-8.  Space is limited to 12 campers.  If enrollment exceeds 12, prospective campers will be placed on a waiting list.  


  Junior Counselors   |   Various Camps  


Enjoy working with kids and being outdoors?  If so, consider signing-up to be a Junior Counselor.  We have limited spaces available for current 7th and 8th grade students to serve as Junior Counselor at all of our grade K-2 summer camps.  Junior Counselors will (a) support Ebersole and visiting staff members as they facilitate sessions and activities at camp, and (b) participate in all camp activities while modeling our C-OAR Values (being grateful, gritty, curious, and kind) for the younger campers.   

Dates/Times:  June 12, 19-20, and July 8-10.  Times vary based on each camps schedule.  We are asking Junior Counselors to commit to attending all of the dates listed above.  Costs:  Junior Counselors attend camp for FREE.  Food and transportation are provided.  Registration:  This opportunity is INVITE ONLY.  Space is limited to 8 junior counselors.  If enrollment exceeds 8, prospective junior counselors will be placed on a waiting list.

  High School Band Camps   |   Multi-Night Camp  |  Various Dates


We are excited to announce that Lansing School District high schools are holding band camps this summer.  If you are interested in participating in the marching band please contact your school's band director to find out how to participate in these wonderful programs and attend band camp.  

Dates/Times:  Everett High School's Band Camp will run from July 21-26.  Eastern High School's Band Camp will run from July 28 to August 2.  Costs:  $25.00 (this includes all meals and snacks, and transportation).  Registration: Band camps are INVITE ONLY.  See the high school band director for more information.
