Backwoods Beginners | Extended Day Camp | June 11, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
Join us at the Ebersole Center for an unforgettable outdoor adventure designed for curious, active learners! In Backwoods Beginners, our youngest campers explore the wonders of nature through hands-on introductory wilderness skills.
Campers will learn foundational outdoor skills like building simple shelters, practicing fire safety, navigating trails, and identifying local plants and wildlife. Each session is filled with imaginative play, team challenges, nature hikes, crafts, and engaging outdoor games.
In a supportive environment, campers build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while developing a lifelong appreciation for the natural world—and they’ll leave with new friendships and a love for adventure.

Get ready for a summer adventure full of furry, feathered, and scaly friends! At Animals Gone Wild, campers explore the incredible world of animals and the special adaptations that help them survive in their habitats.
Through games, crafts, storytelling, and hands-on nature activities, campers discover how animals move, what they eat, how they protect themselves, and how they build homes. From pretending to migrate like birds to creating their own habitats, each session is filled with fun, age-appropriate exploration.
This engaging camp builds curiosity, teamwork, and a love for the natural world—bringing science to life through play and discovery.

Let's Go on a Safari | Offsite Excursion | July 14, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
Get ready for an excursion to Boulder Ridge Wild Animal Park with the Ebersole Team! This thrilling Safari day will take campers on a wild journey where they'll get up close and personal with amazing animals. Experience a private animal encounter, hand-feed some of their favorite creatures, and hop aboard the Safari bus for an epic ride through the park, spotting exotic wildlife from all around the globe in their natural habitats! It’s a day packed with excitement, discovery, and making memories!

Grades 2-3 Summer Camp Opportunities
Twilight Trailblazers | 2-Night Camp | June 16-18, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
This whimsical two-night adventure invites 2nd and 3rd graders to experience the magic of the outdoors in a fun, supportive camp setting. Campers will spend one night in a tent, catching fireflies at dusk and playing twilight games under the stars.
During the day, they’ll build foundational camping skills—setting up camp, exploring wooded trails, practicing outdoor safety, and working together in team challenges. Hands-on activities, nature discovery, and imaginative play make every moment memorable.
With glowing campfires, laughter-filled evenings, and new friendships, this overnight experience builds confidence, independence, and a lasting love for outdoor adventure.

Hawk Island Adventure | Offsite Excursion | July 15, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
Campers will enjoy a fun-filled day at Hawk Island Park exploring the great outdoors with friends! During this special day camp experience, campers will try their hand at fishing, practice basic outdoor skills, and discover the unique natural features of this local park. From exploring wooded trails to observing wildlife around the lake, each activity encourages curiosity and hands-on learning.
Through guided exploration, interactive challenges, and group games, campers will build confidence, strengthen teamwork skills, and deepen their connection to nature. Surrounded by fresh air and summer sunshine, this memorable day at Hawk Island is sure to spark adventure and create lasting friendships.

Twilight Trailblazers | 3-Night Camp | June 23-26, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
This action-packed 3-night adventure is designed for 4th–5th graders ready to build outdoor skills, independence, and confidence. Campers will learn real-world camping techniques such as setting up tents, building shelters, safely starting campfires, and practicing basic map-reading. The camp also includes a special day trip to the Lake Michigan shoreline at Saugatuck Dunes State Park.
Campers will work together to solve outdoor challenges while building teamwork and communication skills. Evenings will feature nighttime games, campfire traditions, and time to reflect under the stars. By the end of camp, participants will leave with new skills, strong friendships, and lasting memories

Seeds & Sprouts | Offsite Excursion | July 16, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
Get ready for a day of fresh air, hands-on learning, and fun! Our 4th and 5th graders will visit the student-run organic farm at Michigan State University for an exciting outdoor experience.
Students will explore thriving plants, buzzing pollinators, and sustainable farming practices while participating in a hands-on planting activity to learn how food is grown organically. The day will also include farm-inspired games that promote teamwork and creativity.
To finish the day, students will make ice cream from scratch while learning a bit of food science. More than just a field trip, this experience helps students connect with nature, with one another, and with the joy of growing something together.

Innovation Lab @ WMCAT | Offsite Excursion | July 28, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
Campers will take a creative field trip to the West Michigan Center for Arts & Technology, where they’ll explore the exciting world of visual arts and design through hands-on activities.
During this day camp experience, students will experiment with 3D Animation, Ceramics, Digital Illustration, and Photography while completing fun creative challenges. Guided by professional instructors, campers will learn new techniques, collaborate with peers, and bring their ideas to life.
By the end of the day, students will leave with unique creations, new artistic skills, and a greater appreciation for the possibilities of visual arts and technology.

Grades 9-12 Summer Camp Opportunities
Junior Counselors | Various Camps | Various Dates | REGISTER NOW
Junior Counselors help create a welcoming, supportive environment where campers can explore, grow, and build lasting friendships. In this role, you will assist staff with camp activities and participate alongside campers while serving as a positive role model by demonstrating our SOAR Values: Supportive, Open-Minded, Accountable, and Resilient.
This opportunity is a great way to build leadership skills, make lasting memories, and be part of a fun and meaningful summer community.
Dates/Times: June 9 (Mandatory Training Day) and Various Summer Dates according to posted camps. Times vary based on each camp's schedule. We are asking Junior Counselors to commit to attending at least three of the K-1, 2-3, and 4-5 camps listed above. Costs: Junior Counselors attend camp for FREE. Food and transportation are provided.

River Rhythm: A Through-Hike | 4-Night Camp | August 3-7, 2026 | REGISTER NOW
Challenge yourself on an unforgettable adventure as we backpack the Manistee River Trail! On this immersive through-hike, campers will build real-world backpacking skills while exploring one of Michigan’s most scenic river corridors.
Participants will learn how to plan a multi-day trip, pack efficiently, read trail maps, set up backcountry campsites, cook simple meals outdoors, and practice Leave No Trace principles.
Each evening brings the peaceful rhythm of riverside camping—pitching tents beneath tall pines, watching the sunset through the trees, and gathering around a campfire under the stars. Along the way, campers will unplug, challenge themselves, build teamwork, and create lasting friendships and memories.
