The New Mt. Hope
The new Mt. Hope School is a state-of-the-art learning facility designed to prepare students for success with modern, flexible classroom spaces and up-to-date technology. Its features include science and technology labs, media center, art and music spaces, outdoor classrooms, and inviting reading nooks that support diverse learning needs. The design emphasizes energy efficiency, safety, and adaptability, reflecting the district’s commitment to excellence and community investment in student achievement.

Cell Phones - When Students Return
Our school district is preparing to implement a new practice that will require all students in grades 5–12 to securely store their cell phones and other personal digital devices in a secure pouch during the school day. This practice will be implemented consistently across our district to provide a common expectation and experience for all students.
The purpose of this initiative is to reduce distractions during the school day and create learning environments where students can fully engage with their teachers, classmates, and academic work.
This districtwide initiative also aligns with new Michigan legislation regarding personal electronic devices in schools and reflects our ongoing commitment to providing safe, positive, and productive learning environments for every student.
Students will keep possession of their devices throughout the day, but the devices will remain secured in the pouch until the end of the school day or when authorized by school staff.
Additional information about implementation, expectations, and procedures will be shared with families before the new practice begins.

What is Title IX?

Sexual Harassment (unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature)
Sexual Misconduct/Violence (rape, sexual assault, sexual battery, sexual exploitation and other forms of non-consensual sexual activity)
Stalking (repeatedly following, harassing, threatening or intimidating including by telephone, mail, electronic communication or social media)
