Many parents have concerns regarding how discipline is handled at the school level. Parents may have the sense that teachers and administrators are “targeting” their child as it relates to referrals and suspensions. The facilitator will provide an overview of the CRPBIS ( Culturally Responsive Positive Behavioral Supports) Framework which is embedded into the curriculum in each school to address and manage student behavioral concerns. The facilitator will also discuss the State of Michigan mandated 7 factors which must be considered before a student is suspended from school.
