We offer flexibility in the length and structure of your stay so that we can best meet the unique needs of your group. Some groups choose an extended day experience, while others opt for one- or two-night overnight trips. The choice depends on the type of experience you would like your students to have at the Ebersole Center.

Types of Onsite Visits (and Duration)
Extended Day
This is the shortest onsite visit option, allowing for three to five program rotations and/or activities.
Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole around 10:30 AM. Students participate in programming throughout the day, including lunch, dinner, and an early evening campfire.
Groups depart Ebersole at 5:30 PM and return to Lansing by 7:00 PM the same evening.
One-Night (Shorty)
This one-night stay allows groups to return to Lansing by the end of the following school day and includes five to seven program rotations and/or activities.
Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole by 10:30 AM. Students enjoy lunch, dinner, an evening campfire, breakfast, and lunch the next day.
Groups depart Ebersole at 12:00 PM and return to Lansing by 1:30 PM (Day 2).
One-Night (Stretch)
This option offers a more robust experience on Day 2, providing two full days of programming with only one overnight stay. Groups typically complete seven to ten program rotations and/or activities.
Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole by 10:30 AM. Students participate in programming through lunch, dinner, and an evening campfire on Day 1, followed by breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Day 2.
Groups depart Ebersole at 5:30 PM and return to Lansing by 7:00 PM (Day 2).
Two-Night Experience
This is the longest onsite visit option available during the school year and allows groups to maximize their time at Ebersole. Groups typically complete 10 or more program rotations and activities.
Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole by 10:30 AM. Students spend two evenings at camp, allowing for deeper learning experiences and stronger community-building opportunities.
For groups interested in expanding their experience, optional offsite excursions may also be available.
On Day 3, groups enjoy breakfast and lunch before departing Ebersole at 12:00 PM, returning to Lansing by 1:30 PM.

Fall
Fall is a wonderful time to visit the Ebersole Center. Early in the school year, an overnight experience can be a powerful way to build classroom community and strengthen relationships among students.
The weather is often ideal for outdoor activities, and the fall foliage creates a beautiful backdrop for hiking, exploration, and learning.
Winter
Winter offers a unique and memorable camp experience. Students can participate in activities such as:
Cross-country skiing
Snowshoeing
Animal tracking
Parking lot hockey
Winter crafts and indoor projects
The crisp winter air and quiet snowy landscape create a magical environment, especially for students who may not be accustomed to spending time outdoors during the winter months.
March — Reading Month
March is Reading Month, and the Ebersole Center offers special programming that blends literacy and nature.
Students may participate in activities such as:
Nature journaling
Hammock reading time
Alphabet hikes
Outdoor storytelling and writing activities

Spring
Spring visits are our most in-demand overnight experiences, as students and teachers alike are eager to enjoy the warmer weather and fresh air.
Spring programming may include:
Canoeing
Fishing
Targeting skills
Bird watching
Hiking and nature exploration
Because spring trips are extremely popular, availability is limited and dates fill quickly.
