Onsite Visit Request

Ready to Visit?

If you’re ready to plan your visit, the easiest way to make a reservation is by completing the online form below.

We offer flexibility in the length and structure of your stay so that we can best meet the unique needs of your group. Some groups choose an extended day experience, while others opt for one- or two-night overnight trips. The choice depends on the type of experience you would like your students to have at the Ebersole Center.

Below you will find additional information about visit options, trip duration, and seasonal programming opportunities.

Types of Onsite Visits (and Duration)

Extended Day

This is the shortest onsite visit option, allowing for three to five program rotations and/or activities.

Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole around 10:30 AM. Students participate in programming throughout the day, including lunch, dinner, and an early evening campfire.

Groups depart Ebersole at 5:30 PM and return to Lansing by 7:00 PM the same evening.

One-Night (Shorty)

This one-night stay allows groups to return to Lansing by the end of the following school day and includes five to seven program rotations and/or activities.

Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole by 10:30 AM. Students enjoy lunch, dinner, an evening campfire, breakfast, and lunch the next day.

Groups depart Ebersole at 12:00 PM and return to Lansing by 1:30 PM (Day 2).

One-Night (Stretch)

This option offers a more robust experience on Day 2, providing two full days of programming with only one overnight stay. Groups typically complete seven to ten program rotations and/or activities.

Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole by 10:30 AM. Students participate in programming through lunch, dinner, and an evening campfire on Day 1, followed by breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Day 2.

Groups depart Ebersole at 5:30 PM and return to Lansing by 7:00 PM (Day 2).

Two-Night Experience

This is the longest onsite visit option available during the school year and allows groups to maximize their time at Ebersole. Groups typically complete 10 or more program rotations and activities.

Groups are picked up at approximately 9:00 AM and arrive at Ebersole by 10:30 AM. Students spend two evenings at camp, allowing for deeper learning experiences and stronger community-building opportunities.

For groups interested in expanding their experience, optional offsite excursions may also be available.

On Day 3, groups enjoy breakfast and lunch before departing Ebersole at 12:00 PM, returning to Lansing by 1:30 PM.

Seasonal Programming Options

Demand for onsite visits to the Ebersole Center continues to grow each year. To ensure the best possible experience for visiting groups, we offer seasonal program focuses throughout the school year.

Please review the seasonal highlights below before submitting your visit request.

Fall

Fall is a wonderful time to visit the Ebersole Center. Early in the school year, an overnight experience can be a powerful way to build classroom community and strengthen relationships among students.

The weather is often ideal for outdoor activities, and the fall foliage creates a beautiful backdrop for hiking, exploration, and learning.

Winter

Winter offers a unique and memorable camp experience. Students can participate in activities such as:

  • Cross-country skiing

  • Snowshoeing

  • Animal tracking

  • Parking lot hockey

  • Winter crafts and indoor projects

The crisp winter air and quiet snowy landscape create a magical environment, especially for students who may not be accustomed to spending time outdoors during the winter months.

March — Reading Month

March is Reading Month, and the Ebersole Center offers special programming that blends literacy and nature.

Students may participate in activities such as:

  • Nature journaling

  • Hammock reading time

  • Alphabet hikes

  • Outdoor storytelling and writing activities

Make this Reading Month one to remember with an outdoor learning experience at camp.

Spring

Spring visits are our most in-demand overnight experiences, as students and teachers alike are eager to enjoy the warmer weather and fresh air.

Spring programming may include:

  • Canoeing

  • Fishing

  • Targeting skills

  • Bird watching

  • Hiking and nature exploration

Because spring trips are extremely popular, availability is limited and dates fill quickly.
