Research shows a direct correlation between parent involvement in school and student academic, behavioral, social and emotional achievement. The facilitator will provide resources and recommendations for parents who are interested in volunteering in school, becoming active in PTO/PTA, School Improvement Team, and Parent Advisory Councils. Participants will take part in role plays related to effective communication strategies while working collaboratively with school personnel with an emphasis on partnership over adversary.

*This meeting is a joint meeting with PCAC and will start at 5:30 p.m. with the Parent University agenda. The normal PCAC meeting will continue once that presentation is complete.
