“Good Cop Bad Cop” Helping Couples and Co-Parents to Get on the Same Page

Facilitator - Mary Dion LPC
Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 5:30-6:30pm

Raising children to be productive, conscientious, and responsible is the hardest job in America! This process is complicated even more when you and your partner or co-parent isn’t on the same page. The frustration level of parents often rises when they hear their child say “well dad says I can stay out until 11 tonight” or “mom said it’s okay to wear this to school.” How can parents maintain their own sense of identity, and keep their personal values in tact to support the other parent in providing consistency in the household for their children? The facilitators in this workshop will guide participants in an interactive workshop to learn how to compliment each other’s parenting style and work collaboratively to meet the needs of their children. The facilitator will also assist participants in examining effective communication styles, remaining steadfast during times of disagreement, and establishing common parenting goals for the family.
