New Board of Education Member - Dan Nowiski

(Lansing, MI) – The Lansing School District Board of Education has voted to select Daniel Nowiski to fill an open board seat.  Nowiski is an experienced Board of Education member who served on the Board during 2024 and recently acted as Board parliamentarian.  

Daniel Nowiski earned a graduate degree in Arts and Religion from Graceland University Seminary, and earned his undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University where he graduated with honors.  Nowiski has been involved in Parent/Community Advisory committees in Lansing and has a child enrolled in the Lansing School District. 
Daniel Nowiski is the Michigan Mission Center president for Community of Christ Church and provides administrative, mission and spiritual leadership to ordained and lay leaders of congregations, campgrounds and ministries throughout the state.  
 

The Lansing School District Board of Education interviewed 12 candidates that applied to serve on the Board.  The seat was previously held by Mrs. Keturah Bouyer who is moving to another state with her spouse who accepted a new job.
 
Nowiski is scheduled to take the oath of office at the June 5, 2025 Board of Education meeting.  The new board member will serve a partial term until the November 2026 election.
