Shuldiner Named Finalist for Superintendent Spot at Seattle Public Schools
Lansing, MI — November 6, 2025 — The Lansing School District today announced that Superintendent Ben Shuldiner has been officially named the finalist for the position of Superintendent of Seattle Public Schools in Seattle, Washington.
The SeattlePublic Schools Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve Shuldiner as the finalist on November 5, clearing the way for formal contract negotiations between Shuldiner and Seattle Public Schools.
“We are extremely proud of the work Superintendent Shuldiner has done here in Lansing,” said Robin Moore, President of the Lansing School District Board of Education. “This recognition reflects not only his leadership, but the hard work of our educators, our staff, and this entire community. Seattle has identified in him what we have seen here — a leader who moves systems forward for students.”
Per Seattle Public Schools policy, once an employment contract — including start date, salary, and terms — is finalized, the Seattle Public Schools Board of Directors will vote again to approve the contract and complete the hiring process.
Shuldiner is expected to continue as Superintendent of the Lansing School District until early 2026.
