Lansing School District on the Rise

The Lansing School District announced significant achievements in both student enrollment and academic performance for the 2022-23 school year.

The district reported a notable increase in student enrollment, with 136 additional students bringing the total to 9,909. 

The district's index scores, which revealed a staggering increase of over 66%, are equally impressive. Lansing School District Superintendent Ben Shuldiner emphasized the positive impact of increased enrollment, highlighting the district's ability to attract students despite demographic challenges. He praised the hard work of Lansing students, teachers, staff, and administrators, emphasizing the dedication to academic achievement. 

The promising trajectory of the district's index scores and test score increases for ELA and math grades 3-7 underscore the district's determination to succeed and its belief in continuous improvement.
