District Adopts New Communication Platform

Starting with the 2024 - 2025 school year, the Lansing School District will begin using ParentSquare for stakeholder communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each family, using their preferred email address and phone number.

Here’s what families can do with ParentSquare:

• Receive messages from schools and/or the district via email, text or app notification 
• Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest 
• Communicate in your preferred language
• Comment on school postings to engage with your school community
• Direct message teachers, staff and other parents
• Participate in group messages

ParentSquare provides several more options for two-way interaction the Lansing School District is evaluating for future use.

In the coming weeks, families will receive more information about ParentSquare and what steps need to be taken in order to utilize this new communication platform.
