An administrator/parent/student conference must be held and may occur in combination with one or more of the following:

  1. Referral to school-based Student Success Team 
  2. Weekly and/or monthly progress monitoring 
  3. Referral to Restorative Justice Practitioner 
  4. Saturday school: Detention programs on Saturday or other non-school hours 
  5. Referral to DPS office for processing intervention 
  6. Options as discussed among parents, teachers, and administrators i.e. community service, restitution, etc. 
  7. Use online intervention prevention courses 
  8. Referral to Community Mental Health-ACCESS for a substance abuse or mental health assessment. 
  9. Parent/guardian communication 
  10. Review Student Parent Handbook expectations: teach what you want to see 
  11. School service project
  12. Write or record an apology and/or reflection to everyone impacted by actions 
  13. Behavior “bank” system (CRPBIS): Students earn tokens/points for
    positive behavior 
  14. Assign to small group targeting specific behavior 
  15. Scheduled breaks or calm down passes 
  16. Adult/peer pairing check-in/check-out (10 days) 
  17. Reflection “Think Sheet” with restorative questions 
  18. 2 x 10 Strategy: 2 minutes of focused and directed personal connection for 10 consecutive days 
  19. Silent lunch 
  20. Assign to in-school suspension for 0-5 days 
  21. Replacement behavior instruction (teach alternative positive actions) 
  22. Change of class assignment 
  23. Double dose interventions 
  24. Behavior contracts with clear expectations and rewards with
    parent/guardian involvement 
  25. Referral for restorative justice processes with completed
    contract with affiliated parties
